Sunday Worship Services
From the moment you arrive you will find the atmosphere of our church to be informative, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. It is our goal to provide inspiring music, helpful teaching, friendly people, and a place where you can feel welcome and “at home”! Nevertheless, we understand that visiting any church for the very first time can create some anxiety. To that end we have provided some frequently asked questions below:
We look forward to meeting you!
When does Worship begin?
Service begins at 10:30am, and lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. Our service is a blend of contemporary and traditional music. The 10:30am service is followed by coffee and a light lunch. We would love it if you felt comfortable enough to join us after service. We have a visitor’s table in the café area with helpful information about our church and a gift bag for you to acknowledge your visit.
Can first time visitors attend our adult small groups or children’s Sunday school classes?
Absolutely! We hold adult small groups as well as teen and children’s Sunday school classes prior to the Sunday service from 9:00-10:00am. Our sermon discussion group is ongoing from week to week and is always open to new people, as is our children’s program. Adult small groups and Children’s Sunday school programs are followed by coffee and refreshments prior to the 10:30am service.
How should I dress?
WLCC has a come-as-you-are atmosphere. Please feel free to dress for church in whatever manner makes you most comfortable. Come in casual dress or even jeans and a t-shirt if you like.
We have a clearly marked visitor’s parking area at the rear of the building for your convenience.
Where should I park?
We encourage our visitors to enter through the south door, nearest to the visitor’s parking area. The South door is the one located nearest the handicapped ramp. Handicap parking is located towards the front of the ramp.
Where do I enter the building?
Starting with the babies, there is something special for every child. At every service there is a safe, clean, and professionally staffed nursery for children three years old and under. Children in preschool through 2nd grade are ordinarily dismissed mid service for a children’s church program geared specifically for their age groups.
Parents always have the option to allow their children to participate in the children’s church program or remain with them in the sanctuary. Let a guest receptionist know that you are interested in information about child-care during the service and they will show you to the children’s area and guide you through the registration process.
