After more than a year of carefully and prayerfully seeking the Lord to determine the needs of our church and identify the traits and characteristics needed in a senior pastor, the Pastoral Search Committee is delighted to announce that Rev. Ray McDaid has been unanimously selected by the search committee as our recommendation to the board of elders to fill the senior pastor position at WLCC!
Ray has been blessed with a broad range of gifts and a wealth of experience in pastoral ministry serving churches in New England for more than 20 years. An ordained minister with the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference, Ray has executive leadership skills and years of experience in making disciples, preaching, teaching, leading small groups, directing addiction recovery ministries, leading worship and directing church growth initiatives.
Ray and his wife Julie are the parents of four children and grandparents of three, with a fourth on the way. We have invited Ray to candidate at WLCC the weekend of January 4 – 7, 2018 to meet and interact with the congregation. Ray will be preaching on Sunday, January 7th and visiting our Sunday School classes following the service.
A congregational vote to affirm the call of Ray McDaid as senior pastor will be held immediately following the service on January 7, 2018. A two-thirds majority vote of not fewer than 60 church members of legal voting age is needed to affirm the call of the senior pastor.
Please keep Pastor McDaid and his family in your prayers as they prepare to join us in ministry at WLCC.
