FAQs for Your First Visit
When does Worship begin? Summer, single worship service schedule begins on June 21st at 9:30am. Throughout the summer we have one blended styles service each Sunday. Combining traditional hymns and contemporary worship selections.
Fall, Winter & Spring we have our early worship service beginning at 8:25 AM and will last roughly 1 hour and 5 minutes. However, if you would like a little more contemporary music, join us for our 10:45 AM Worship service, about an hour and 15 minutes.
How should I dress? WLCC has a come-as-you-are atmosphere. If you prefer to dress up for church that is fine. However, if your personal style is more casual that is fine as well – come in dress casual or even jeans and a t-shirt. We only ask that you demonstrate modesty in your attire.
Where should I park? WLCC has a number of areas available for parking: lots are on the south side of church and north side of our back building. Should both these areas be full, you are welcomed to park in the post office, or Dexter Plaza just north of the church.
Where do I enter the building? You can enter the building through a number of entrances. Closest to the back parking lots you would be entering through Dexter Hall, which leads to the pulpit (front) of the sanctuary. Not to worry- many of the folks in the congregation come in this way. From the handicap parking areas and for those walking, you are always welcomed through our front doors which lead to the Narthex (back) of the sanctuary and will have ushers to greet you.
What do I do when I arrive? As you arrive, ushers will meet you at the door to provide you with directions, a service bulletin and information you might need. They’re also happy to help you and your family find a spot to sit.
What if I need Childcare? Starting with the babies, there is something special for every child. At every service there is a safe, clean, and staffed nursery for children three years old and under. Let a guest receptionist know that you are interested in information about child-care during the service. They will graciously guide you to the proper location.
Children in preschool or kindergarten will be dismissed during the worship service for their class time. They may sit with you until they are dismissed or they are welcomed to stay with you through the service.
